Linseed is a natural product and therefore not flammable by itself. On a cloth or hand pad, however, it does pose a danger. The oxidation of oil creates an accumulation of heat that can spontaneously ignite the cloths or hand pads used (scalding effect). These cloths or hand pads should be immersed in water after use!
